Nebraska No Smoking Signs
Nebraska Relevant Statues
The Nebraska Clean Indoor Air Act aims to protect public health and welfare by prohibiting smoking in public places and workplaces, with a few exceptions. These exceptions include guestrooms and suites, research facilities, tobacco retail outlets, and cigar shops. Smoking is allowed in these areas due to expectations of privacy similar to private residences, in institutions conducting smoking-related research, and in tobacco retail outlets and cigar shops where the public legally samples, uses, and purchases tobacco products. The Act does not apply to outdoor areas and does not override any other laws, ordinances, or resolutions that restrict or prohibit smoking.
