AK Code Ann. § 20-27-1806:
"No Smoking" signs or the international "No Smoking" symbol consisting of a pictorial representation of a burning cigarette enclosed in a red circle with a red bar across it may be clearly and conspicuously posted by the owner, operator, manager, or other person in control in every public place and place of employment where smoking is prohibited by this subchapter.
All signs indicating that smoking is permitted must be at least 11 inches wide by 8.5 inches tall. They should be clearly and prominently placed at a height and location where they are easily visible to anyone entering the establishment and should not be obstructed. The sign must include: “HEALTH WARNING” in capital letters, at least 1/2 inch high and 1/2 inch wide. “THIS IS A SMOKING AREA. OCCUPANTS WILL BE EXPOSED TO SECONDHAND SMOKE. IT IS UNLAWFUL FOR ANYONE UNDER 21 YEARS OF AGE TO ENTER OR WORK IN ANY PART OF THE ESTABLISHMENT AT ALL TIMES.” in capital letters, at least 1/4 inch high and 1/4 inch wide. “ARKANSAS STATE BOARD OF HEALTH, 2006” in capital letters, at least 1/8 inch high and 1/8 inch wide. The lettering must contrast with the background for clear visibility.
