School Sign FAQs
Are there any specific regulations or laws governing school signs?
Yes. There are different zoning requirements that could affect sign usage, as well as standards required by regulatory bodies including OSHA and the ADA. These requirements could be anything from sign size, illumination, distance from the road, etc. Some areas give school zones an exemption to various zoning laws, but it is best to check your specific jurisdiction for more information.
How often should school signage be maintained and replaced?
Signs should always be maintained to get the most longevity out of them. With that in mind, any time your signs are damaged, cracked, vandalized, or worn, it is best to replace them as soon as possible. Any kind of blemish, bend, or crack that negatively impacts how well a sign can be seen or read should be swiftly addressed to maintain safe conditions.
Can I customize a school sign to include my school’s name or mascot?
