Compliance
Minnesota Administrative Rules 4620.0500 requires that if smoking is allowed in any part of a public place, place of employment, or public meeting, signs must state "Smoking Permitted" or display the international smoking symbol, or both. Signs designating smoking-permitted and nonsmoking areas must use letters at least 0.5 inches (1.3 centimeters) high. If any international symbols are used, the diameter of the outer circle must be at least three inches.
