In locations where smoking is prohibited under this chapter, clear and conspicuous "No Smoking" signs or the international "No Smoking" symbol must be posted at every entrance to the public place, place of employment, area designated as a nonsmoking place under section 142D.5, or outdoor area. Additionally, a "No Smoking" sign or the international "No Smoking" symbol must be displayed in every vehicle that qualifies as a public place, place of employment, or area designated as nonsmoking under section 142D.5, and must be visible from the exterior of the vehicle. All signs should include the telephone number for reporting complaints and the department's website.
