2-3-2 Styrene Cinnamene; Ethenyl Benzene; Phenylethylene; Styrol; Vinylbenzene Danger! Flammable! Irritant Emergency Overview: Colorless-yellow, Oily Liquid; Sweet Odor. Irritating. Also Causes: Difficulty Breathing, Dizziness. Chronic: Dermatitis, Nervous System Disorders, Blood/Liver Damage, Reproductive/Teratogenic Effects (Animal Studies). Possible Cancer Hazard. Flammable. Precautionary Measures: Avoid Exposure to Skin. Wear Protective Clothing: Goggles, Gloves, Full Suit, Boots. First Aid Procedures: Inhalation: Remove to Fresh Air and Support Breathing as Needed. Eyes/Skin: Remove Contaminated Clothing. Flush Eyes with Plenty of Water For At Least 15 Minutes. Thoroughly Wash Skin with Soap and Water. Ingestion: Do Not Induce Vomiting! Consult Physician. Fire Procedures: Flammable and Can Form Explosive Concentrations with Air. Use Dry Chemical, Carbon Dioxide or Foam. Water Is Ineffective (Styrene Will Float on A Surface and May re-ignite). Spill Procedures: Notify Safety Personnel, Isolate and Ventilate Area, Deny Entry, Stay Upwind. Shut Off Heat and Ignition Sources. Take Up with Inert Material Such as Sand or Vermiculite.
