Nitrogen Gas Warning Compressed Gas Emergency Overview: Odorless, Colorless Gas. Store As Compressed Gas In Cylinders. Simple Asphyxiant (Reduced Oxygen Available For Breathing). Eye/Skin Contact With Compressed Gas Can Cause Frostbite. Precautionary Measures: Avoid Exposure To Skin. Wear Protective Clothing: Goggles, Gloves, Apron. First Aid Procedures: Inhalation: Remove To Fresh Air And Support Breathing As Needed. Eye/Skin: For Frostbite, Immerse Affected Skin In Tepid (104°F) Water Until Completely Rewarmed. Flush Eyes With Tepid Water. Consult Physician. Ingestion: Unlikely. Fire Procedures: Noncombustible. Use Extinguishing Agents Suitable For Surrounding Fire. Move Cylinders To Prevent Bursting Due To Heat. Spill Procedures: Notify Safety Personnel, Isolate And Ventilate Area, Deny Entry, Stay Upwind. Stop Leak If Feasible Or Remove To Safe Outdoor Area Or Fume Hood And Allow To Empty. Tag As Defective, Close Valve And Return To Supplier.
