Custom Street Sign FAQs
How long does it take to make a custom street sign?
Because we manufacture all of our own products in the USA and maintain an exceptional quality standard, our general lead time for custom street signs is 3 to 5 business days. You will be provided with an estimated shipping time at checkout.
How can I personalize a street sign?
You can personalize a street sign right on our website by clicking on the street sign you want to customize. You'll then see a section labeled “Start Here to Design Your Sign” on the left side of the page where you can select a size, color, background, and enter your sign text.
Do customized street signs have to be reflective?
It depends. If you are purchasing a custom novelty street sign for a gift or decoration, they do not need to be reflective. If this is a custom street sign that will be used for a private drive or newly named street, then yes, the sign will need to be reflective in order to be MUTCD compliant.
What size should my street name sign be?
Street name sign sizes vary in width, ranging from 18 to 48 inches. The width of a sign correlates to the number of characters that need to be displayed. The height of a street sign depends on the setting in which the street sign will be displayed. On local roads with a speed limit of 25 MPH or less, street signs should be at least 6 inches tall. On roads with speed limits exceeding 25 MPH, 9 inch tall signs are required.
