Industrial Safety Signs FAQs
What makes a safety sign 'industrial grade'?
Industrial-grade safety signs use heavier gauge aluminum (.040 vs. .025), UV-stable inks, and construction that can withstand industrial cleaning agents, chemical splash, high temperatures, and physical impact.
What OSHA standards apply to industrial safety signs?
OSHA 29 CFR 1910.145 governs accident prevention signs and tags in general industry. Industry-specific OSHA standards (1910.147 for LOTO, 1910.303 for electrical, etc.) may require additional specific signage.
