Path Narrows are MUTCD Compliant (MUTCD W5-4a) and help inform that the upcoming path is going to narrow. Path Narrows Signs are useful devices to help display official regulations and provide mandatory information to drivers and pedestrians on both private and public roadways.

Option
Other bicycle warning signs such as PATH NARROWS (W5-4a) and Hill (W7-5) may be installed on shared-use paths to warn bicyclists of conditions not readily apparent.
Guidance
If used, other advance bicycle warning signs should be installed at least 50 feet in advance of the beginning of the condition.
