Know Who To Contact In An Emergency. Know How To Respond To Different Types Of Ammonia Exposure: Ammonia Scent: Immediately Leave The Vicinity, And Contact Your Supervisor. Inhalation: Get Away From The Ammonia Source And Get Outside For Fresh Air; Seek Medical Help If Necessary. Skin Or Eye Contact: Flush Exposed Area With Water For A Minimum Of 15 Minutes. Clothing Contact: Flush Clothing Exposed To Liquid Ammonia With Water Before Removing. Ammonia Cloud: Immediately Exit The Facility, And Move To The Designated Safety Meeting Area.
