Rough Roads and Pothole Damage: A National Plague

There are some roads that are so unreasonably riddled by potholes that you travel out of your way just to avoid them. You know the type: the road that has been neglected for so long that even the city won’t touch it. What’s worse is when the city warns others of the neglect with a custom Rough Road sign.

Let’s face it, potholes are a plague on commuters. On average, pothole damage costs U.S. drivers $3 billion annually in vehicle repairs. In the North East alone each subsequent pothole seems to be an inch or two away from reaching the center of the Earth. No amount of Rough Road signage can help you if you find yourself facing off against the relentless encroachment of potholes. The best way to prevent damage is to avoid road craters in the first place. Find an alternate route until city or county officials fix mother nature’s eye sores.
