CHAPTER 4464. PUBLIC SWIMMING POOLS

The Delaware No Lifeguard Sign has informational messages for property and swimming policy concerns. The Delaware No Lifeguard Sign is a useful tool to help protect the health and safety of others in pool and swimming areas, and is not a substitute for necessary protective measures for lessening or eliminating hazards. This sign complies with Delaware Department of Health Section 26.708. "WARNING NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY" is 4" and all other text is 1" tall.

Section 9.0 Operation, Maintenance, General Sanitation, Personnel, Supervision and Safety.

9.8 Lifeguard Warning Sign

9.8.1 Any exempted pool or any pool with a maximum depth of four (4) feet that does not have a lifeguard or attendant on duty shall conspicuously post the following sign at the pool entrance(s) and at least one (1) other location inside the pool room/fence:

9.8.1.1 "WARNING NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY" in letters at least four (4) inches high along with "CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF SIXTEEN (16) SHOULD BE ACCOMPANIED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN" in letters at least one (1) inch high.
