The legend on the USE TWO LANES sign may be modified, as required by the applicable regulation, using appropriate wording in the specified letter size and series. Sign sizes may be adjusted, as necessary, to accommodate modified legends. Additional USE TWO LANES signs may be placed within the applicable roadway section, as needed.
Standard
The USE TWO LANES sign shall be used only where lane markers are used.
Guidance
The legend on the USE TWO LANES sign should state the number lanes available for the traffic to which it applies. Where used, the USE TWO LANES sign should be placed at, or near, the beginning of the applicable roadway section.
