Double sided signs are MUTCD compliant. Extruded (shaped) blades are stronger than regular flat blades. These blades have a thickness of .080" (center) with extruded top and bottom edges at .230" thick. Flat and extruded blades are mounted utilizing the same type of bracket. The only difference is that brackets for extruded blade have a larger opening to accommodate the thicker extruded edge of the sign.
The 6'' high signs are used on local roads with speed limits of 25 mph or less. The 9'' high are the standard size for ground-mounted street name signs with speed limits higher than 25 mph.

Font Style Options
Safetysign.com will use the font known as ClearviewHwy when producing your street name signs, this font offers several variations of character compression and character spacing, the correct version will be selected by us when producing your signs. The selection will be based on the length of the street name versus the length of the sign ordered. Due to the nature and size of street name signs, more often than not, the street name is compressed (from side to side) to fit the name area on the sign; that's the reason we have recommended characters, as soon as you go over the recommended number of characters the legibility of the sign decreases and the compression of the name increases.
