The Florida Spa Rules Sign has informational messages for property and swimming policy concerns. The Florida Spa Rules Sign is a useful tool to help protect the health and safety of others in pool and swimming areas, and is not a substitute for necessary protective measures for lessening or eliminating hazards. This sign complies with FAC 64E-9.008.
64E-9.008 Supervision and Safety.
(7) Rules and regulations - Rules and regulations for bathers shall be posted in minimum 1 inch letters which must be legible from the pool deck, and shall contain the following:
- No food or beverages in pool or on pool wet deck.
- No glass or animals in the fenced pool area (or 50 feet from unfenced pool).
- Bathing load: ___ persons.
- Pool hours: __ a.m. to __ p.m.
- Shower before entering.
- Pools of 200 square feet in area or greater without an approved diving well configuration shall have " NO DIVING " , in four inch letters included with the above listed pool rules.
- For new or modified pools submitted for plan approval application on or after the effective date of this rule, their posted sign shall add: Do not swallow the pool water.
(14) In addition to the requirements of subsection 64E-9.008(7), F.A.C., spa pool signs shall include the following:
- Maximum water temperature 104 deg. F.
- Children under twelve must have adult supervision.
- Pregnant women, small children, people with health problems and people using alcohol, narcotics or other drugs that cause drowsiness should not use spa pools without first consulting a doctor.
- Maximum use 15 minutes.
