25-C6403. GENERAL PROVISIONS ─ SWIMMING POOL ADMISSION RULES, SIGNS, AND POSTINGS
The Washington DC No Lifeguard Sign has informational messages for property and swimming policy concerns. The Washington DC No Lifeguard Sign is a useful tool to help protect the health and safety of others in pool and swimming areas, and is not a substitute for necessary protective measures for lessening or eliminating hazards. This sign complies with DC Department of Health Title 22 Chapter 64 6403.5.
6403.5 In addition to section 6403.1, when no lifeguard is on duty, a permanently mounted sign shall be printed legibly with letters that are three inches (3″) or larger conspicuously posted warning bathers of the following:
"WARNING - NO LIFEGUARD IS ON DUTY. SWIM AT YOUR OWN RISK."
"NO CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF FIFTEEN (15) SHALL USE THE SWIMMING POOL WITHOUT ADULT SUPERVISION."
"ADULTS SHOULD NOT SWIM ALONE."
