Engineering Grade (Type I) Reflective Aluminum:

Description & Attributes

Engineering Grade (EG) retro-reflective sheeting is a beaded plastic material that renders high retro-reflectivity at night. It is designed for use mainly on traffic signs and is highly resistant against the extremes of hot, cold, dry, and humid weathering conditions. Engineering Grade (EG) Reflective Sheeting meets ASTM D4956 Type I retro-reflective sheeting standards.
  • Rust free aluminum sheet overlaminated with Engineering Grade Reflective Sheeting.
  • Graphics are screen printed with translucent inks or applied vinyl graphics, opaque and translucent film. (Translucent ink or film is not applicable to the color black)
  • Aluminum will not chip, crack or rust.

Glow in the Dark (Photoluminous) Aluminum:

Description & Attributes

  • Glow in the dark material typically used in no light and low light applications, as well as emergency situations of power loss. Ideal to identify emergency exits and equipment. Signs will glow for 10 hours in continuous darkness. Material is charged by any light source in 15 to 60 minutes, depending on light intensity. This material meets or exceeds DIN 67510-I, ASTM 2072, ISO 15370, IMO Res. A.752 (18), JIS Z9100, NYC RS6-1.
  • Glow in the dark material is a high performance polyester film.
  • Rust free aluminum blank overlaminated with Glow in the dark (Photoluminous)Sheeting.
  • Aluminum will not chip, crack or rust.
  • Printed image will resist fading and mild chemicals.
  • Type of light source - cool white light sources, such as fluorescent lighting and sunshine, are excellent activators. Soft warm lighting, such as incandescent light bulbs, is at the lower activation end.
