New Jersey No Smoking Signs

According to the American Cancer Society, secondhand smoke causes about 3,400 lung cancer deaths in non-smoking adults each year*. The National Cancer Institute states that secondhand smoke can contain at least 250 harmful chemicals. Fifty of those chemicals are known to cause cancer**. The statistics on secondhand smoke are startling. That's why many states have established smoking bans.

In an effort to ensure that workers have a safe, smoke-free workplace, the State of New Jersey developed the Smoke-Free Air Act. This act requires that a no smoking sign be posted at all public entrances where smoking is prohibited. It also requires business owners to post signs in areas where smoking is allowed.

SafetySign.com offers New Jersey no smoking signs and smoking signs in English and Spanish. These no smoking signs clearly point out that violators of the Smoke-Free Air Act will be fined.
